As such, we’ve opened our this combined print and digital “April/May” issue with selections from our annual Photos of the Year feature, which roars into overdrive on inside pages six through 11. This digitally enhanced and expanded issue carries 10 extra pages from the print version, in-cluding more short, sharp news bites (bytes?) in Newsdesk; a new story summarizing the dizzying amount of player changes that wreaked havoc in March and April and the return of The Curling News Gold Trail, the closest thing to the ultimate dollar winnings list you will find in the sport. Don’t forget to check out the first success story from the 2014 Men of Curling Calendar charity proj-ect, where John Morris – aka Mr. December – an-nounced a fundraising donation to his selected charity of choice. You can read about all 12 models and their causes on page 12, and additional photos appear in the advert on page 19… and as that page invites, please purchase a calendar if you haven’t done so. Also, there’s a new proudly Canadian all-curling T-shirt now available for sale, with proceeds to bene-fit one of the Men of Curling charities (page 18). Two last items to consider… Curling might slow down during the summer but we do not.
